New Year cheer and festive concerts as Bulgaria celebrates 2023

On the threshold of the New Year 2023, celebrations across Bulgaria promise lots of cheer and merrymaking. 
In Varna, outdoor party-goers will enjoy a festive concert and fireworks on"Independence" square. In the program "Together in the New Year's Night", which will last until 2 pm on January 1, 2023, famous Bulgarian performers will sing on the special 3D LED stage. At midnight sharp, the "Varna" folklore ensemble will lead the festive "Danube Horo" chain dance, while the skies will glow with festive fireworks. 

In Dobrich, the festive program starts at midnight on the "Liberty" town square with festive illuminations, a glass of wine and a musical program by the "Dobrudjanski Avligi" Orchestra. 

Disco ledgend Precious Wilson will be the guest star of the New Year's Eve concert in Burgas, singing on the outdoor stage in the "Troika" Square shortly after 11 pm. The New Year will be celebrated with fireworks, and the Strandja Orchestra - Burgas will take the stage with soloist folk singer Zhechka Slaninkova, dubnamed the Nightingale of the Strandja Mountain. 
Veliko Tarnovo is welcoming the New Year with a rock concert and folk dances. After midnight there will be a traditional banitsa with lucky charms for the guests. As is the tradition every year, a 15-kilometre hike for health will take place on the morning of 1 January, and at noon, in front of the Tsarevets fortress, Veliko Tarnovo residents will welcome the first tourist of the year in Bulgaria with gifts.
