Annie and Nikola have been performing together since 2016. They met at an acoustic festival in Sofia, organized by a mutual friend. Their first performances as a duo were part of a seaside tour, after which they continued in the capital and throughout Bulgaria. The young musicians jokingly describe their style as ``turbosexfunk from Heaven''. They work with a loop station and colorful sound effects.
They perform soul, blues, rock, pop, reggae, funk, ska and many other styles, and in recent years they have focused on their own original music.
From the very beginning, Annie and Nikolva won the audience's sympathy with their fresh ideas, spontaneity and authentic stage presence. Together they have participated in a number of Bulgarian festivals, including the Jazz Festival in Bansko.
The two are also developing independently very successfully. In 2018, Nikola created his band Cool Den, with which they have already released two albums.
In 2021, Annie V (Anna-Maria Vartovska) released her debut solo album "Station Unknown", supported by the Cultural Fund of Music Author under the "Young Author" programme. Anna-Maria wrote the lyrics, music and arranged all the songs on the album. The song of the same name also features Nikola, who plays the guitars.
One of the 12 songs in Annie V's solo album is Try, in which, in addition to the warm voice of the singer, we also hear the piano of Martin Stoyanov - Martist. The song has a stylish video - check it out here:
