"Tourism in Bulgaria is reviving and the speed of its recovery is accelerating," Tourism Minister Ilin Dimitrov told BNR from Berlin, where he is taking part in the largest and most prestigious international tourism exhibition Internationale Tourismus-Börse. Bulgaria is represented at the forum by 44 tourism companies.
The country's stand was visited by Zurab Pololikashvili - Secretary General of the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO). "Bulgaria will be applying to be a partner at the major tourism fairs in Stuttgart, Leipzig and Hamburg, Ilin Dimitrov told BNR. Our country also wants to host an adventure tourism exhibition of The Adventure Travel Trade Association. This is expected to happen in 2024 or 2025, most likely in Plovdiv," the minister added.
