Bulgaria is among the EU member states supporting the delivery of 1 million 155-millimeter shells for Ukraine worth EUR 1 billion, diplomatic sources told the BNR. The text of the agreement is almost ready after the meeting of the ambassadors of the member states on March 19 in Brussels. The Swedish Presidency of the Council of the EU hopes that the document will be approved at the meeting of the Ministers of Defense and Foreign Affairs in Brussels on March 20-21.

"Only a handful of countries disagree with some of the passages related to issues such as the time frame for the production of some shells after the conclusion of the procurement contract", diplomatic sources report.
