The business will not be affected by a price cap, caretaker Minister of Economy, Nikola Stoyanov, has told Nova TV. He commented on the draft law on food prices, published for public consultation, according to which 17 basic food products will have markup of not more than 10%.

Checks have shown that some markups now reach 70-80%. "We understand that this is an anti-market measure and that is why we proposed just 17 types of essential goods to be included in it," the minister said. Traders will be obliged to keep stocks, Minister Stoyanov also said.
