Karlos Nasar breaks the world record, takes gold at the 2023 European Weightlifting Championships

Karlos Nasar claimed a gold medal in the 89 kilogram category at the 2023 European Weightlifting Championships in Yerevan (Armenia). He broke the world record with a total of 395 kilograms and bested Antonino Pizzolato’s record (392 kg).

Bulgaria climbed to Rank 3 with two gold medals won by Karlos Nasar (89kg) and Angel Rusev (55 kg) and a bronze medal earned by Ivan Dimov (61 kg).
