Hoteliers sheltering Ukrainian refugees take out loans to work

Hoteliers who accommodated Ukrainian refugees in their hotel bases report delayed payments. Among them there are those who took out loans to continue their operation.

"We haven't been paid for our food since the summer. We have to receive about BGN 100,000. The last payment we received for the refugees was for the month of December," said a hotelier to Maya Shtarbanova from BNR Varna.

The hoteliers point out that the people who really have nowhere to go, their homes are destroyed and they have no way to pay for accommodation, have stayed in the hotel bases. They are demanding that the money be paid to them to continue providing humanitarian aid to refugees.
