Tourist itinerary in Sofia presents landmarks from the Middle Ages

A new tourist itinerary, financed by Sofia municipality, presents the Medieval period of Sofia – new archaeological sites such as the Western Gate, the Serdika-Sredets historical archaeological reserve, the underground archaeological museum underneath the St. Sophia church etc. The route starts from Women’s Market, passes by Banya Bashi Mosque, and goes on to the National Archaeological Institute with Museum, the National Art Gallery, the Central Military Club, Sveti Sedmochislenitsi (Seven saints) Church, to end at the Roman Wall.
