GERB-CDS will use the first mandate to form a government. Today in the National Assembly the coalition will present its candidate for prime minister.

A possible election in August without a state budget would be a disaster, GERB leader Boyko Borissov said, saying his party was committed to forming a government. Bulgarians expect politicians to bring order to the chaos so that EU funds, the Recovery and Resilience Plan, justice reform and Schengen procedures can work. In Borissov's words, the candidate will be someone who can lead the economy, industry and modernisation in the direction needed.
