PP co-chairman Kiril Petkov questioned in Prosecutor's Office

"I believe in the power of real justice, I believe in the standard procedures of parliament and I hope that by following them we will achieve real justice. We shall not allow the prosecution to be used as a bludgeon." This was what the co-chairman of "We Continue the Change", Kiril Petkov, who appeared for questioning at the Sofia District Prosecutor's Office in the case of alleged pressure exerted against former member of the coalition Radostin Vasilev.

On Tuesday (May 30), the other co-chairman of the formation, Assen Vassilev, was questioned at the prosecutor's office on the same occasion. Petkov said he did not have "much confidence in the prosecutor's office" and that it held "quite strong political positions." He also commented that he was shocked by the things that were said in Parliament yesterday. "I want to state very clearly that Vesela Cherneva is one of the most conscientious advisers I've had and one of the people who really believes that Bulgaria can be a normal European country," Petkov added.
