The town of Panagyurishte is hosting one of the most spectacular events in Bulgaria - the International Fireworks Festival. It has a competitive nature, with teams from Andorra, Germany and Italy participating this year. The main organizer is the municipality with the participation of pyrotechnic specialists.

This is the 10th edition of the festival, and the organizers have prepared a rich accompanying musical program. ‎

The International Fireworks Festival has established itself as a unique and one-of-a-kind event. At the beginning, each of the teams presents a free two-minute fireworks display, which is not scored. Competitors then have 3 to 7 minutes to perform their light show, which is subject to judging. In the presentations, talent and artistic solutions are considered, presenting the art of fireworks in the most attractive way.

The warm-up firework programs and the closing fireworks show of the festival will be performed by the Bulgarian team "Fiery Chrysanthemum".
