Prominent footballers will play in Sofia in a charity match organized by the foundation of Bulgarian footballer Stiliyan Petrov, who is former captain of the national team. The show will be on September 6 at 5pm at the Vasil Levski National Stadium in central Sofia.

The collected funds will be used for the treatment of cancer patients. Petrov himself suffered from leukemia years ago.
"Exactly 10 years ago, in 2013, 62,000 people rose to their feet in my last match. 10 years later, our foundation will organize a charity match in Bulgaria - "A Match of Hope". Me and my family went through it, but without the support of the Bulgarian people and fans - we wouldn't have succeeded," said Petrov.

Dimitar Dimitrov - Hero, Hristo Stoichkov, Dimitar Berbatov, Nasko Sirakov and Marian Hristov have accepted the invitation to participate in the match. Among the foreign football stars who are expected to arrive in Sofia are Martin O'Neill, Roy Keane, Henrik Larsson, Robert Pires, Luis Garcia and Nemanja Vidic.
