“The state will help grain producers find a market,” Agriculture Minister Kiril Vatev said for the BNR. "We shall do our best,” Minister Vatev said, and added that there is up to 60% more grain stocked up in warehouses than there was during the same period of 2022.

Kiril Vatev pointed out that there are a lot of dumping imports of powdered and cheaper milk. “There is no magic wand for solving the problems of stock breeders right away,” he admitted, and went on to outline his priorities: cooperation within the sector and directing production towards the market instead of subsidies.

Minister Vatev denied allegations he had threatened to hand in his resignation at the very start of his term of office.
