“Russian armed forces do not attack civilian objects on the territory of Ukraine”, Russia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov said at a press conference in response to a question by the BNR’s correspondent in Moscow Angel Grigorov. "Please bear in mind that since the beginning of the special military operation, there has been substantial evidence that Ukrainian military units have deployed heavy equipment in the yards of residential buildings and on school premises", Sergey Lavrov said.

Lavrov was asked whether he could confirm the official figures of the United Nations on the number of civilian casualties in Ukraine. "I have no information where the UN gets its information from. We have not been approached with such questions", Sergey Lavrov went on to say. According to the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR), a total of 9.083 civilians have been killed in Ukraine since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion.
