A new forum has been added to the array of festivals this season - Jazz Art Eco Fest Troyan. The festival is taking place July 14-16 at the National Exposition of Arts and Crafts in the village of Oreshak. Mottoed “Where Bulgaria meets jazz”., the forum’s target audience are all people who love music, poetry, visual arts, traditions, and nature. Besides concerts, the programme also features eco activities. Guests to the event will also be able to try their hand at the crafts that are traditional for the region – with the help of the Troyan master pottery-makers. The organizers say they are aiming at a synthesis of the rich history of this area, and different forms of art, so there will be open-air exhibitions, a fashion show with clothes made out of natural and recycled fabrics, a pottery workshop and an eco-bazaar.

The musicians taking part in the event will offer a diversity of different genres. The first night, Friday, 14 July, will kick off with a concert by Stanislav Arabadjiev & The Swinging Sparrows, a concert by Flawless trio, and a concert by Akaga. On Saturday, 15 July, audiences will be able to listen to Sinfonietta-Vidin with conductor Maestro Levon Manukyan and soloists: Militsa Gladnishka, Ivan Velchev and Ilian Bozhkov, a concert by Mihail Yossifov and The Jazz News, a concert by Vassil Petrov. The last day – Sunday, 16 July – is a day dedicated to art and poetry, with a book presentation and meetings with poets Stefan Kisyov, Toshko Savov and many more.  The concerts start at 7 PM. Admission for children under 12 is free.
