The 11th anniversary of the terrorist attack at Burgas airport, in which five Israeli citizens and a Bulgarian national were killed, was marked with a commemorative ceremony. Bulgaria’s President Rumen Radev also participated in the ceremony.

In his speech, President Radev said that the Bulgarian state and Israel remain in solidarity and uncompromising in the fight against terrorism. Rumen Radev reminded that in 2023, Bulgaria marks the 80th anniversary since the rescue of the Bulgarian Jews. The Ambassador of Israel to Bulgaria H.E. Yoram Elron called on the Bulgarian authorities to declare the Lebanese group Hezbollah a terrorist organization and urgded that it be included in the indictment, the BNR’s correspondent in Burgas Daniela Kostadinova reported.
