For the tenth year in a row, the town of Samokov, Southwestern Bulgaria, will host the “Chakar Festivities”, organized by the "Chakar Voivoda" Club of Historical Weapons Enthusiasts. The participants will be welcomed on Friday and the program begins on Saturday with an official opening at 10:30 a.m. in the "Chakarova Polyana" area. The event will continue with a re-enactment related to the deeds of Chakar Voivode and a folklore program.
