Meteorologists warn of dangerously high temperatures

Code orange for dangerously high temperatures has been issued for ten regions of Bulgaria, the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology has reported. The temperature will reach 39-40 °С in Blagoevgrad, Plovdiv, Ruse, Veliko Tarnovo, Stara Zagora, Silistra, Sliven, Pazardzhik, Haskovo and Yambol. In the rest of the country, the highest temperatures will be around 35°С and for them the warning code is yellow.

Until the end of the month, when temperatures are above 35 °С, the movement of trucks over 20 tons will be restricted from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. due to the risk of deformation of the road surface. The ban will apply to the roads Kardzhali – Makaza Border Crossing , Krumovgrad - Ivaylovgrad, Kardzhali – village of Most and Kardzhali - Dzhebel - Podkova.
