PP-DB to present their project for changes to the Constitution

"We Continue the Change - Democratic Bulgaria" together with "Justice for All" Initiative will present their project for constitutional changes tomorrow, the ruling coalition has announced.

After a meeting with the leaders of the PP-DB coalition, the chairman of the non-governmental organization, Velislav Velichkov, stated that the formation will submit a separate draft bill because of pitfalls in the ideas of MRF regarding the judiciary. Splitting the SJC into two separate bodies – for judges and prosecutors, respectively, is one of the possible proposals of PP-DB. Another, probably refers to limiting the powers of the Prosecutor General, not to abolishing the institution as it was originally intended.
