Bulgarian white brined cheese has become the second dairy product of national importance having a protected designation of origin. Recently, the European Commission has made the Bulgarian yogurt part of its register.

In addition to the two dairy products, Strandzha honey now also has a protected designation of origin.

Registration gives processors a competitive advantage on the market and an additional guarantee of the origin and quality of the product to consumers.
