Lay people, politicians and public figures flocked to "The Nativity of the Virgin" church in Rila Monastery to attend a liturgy and a memorial service on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the death of Tsar Boris III. Tsar Boris III was buried in the Rila Monastery, but in 1946 his body was exhumed by order of the communist authorities. Only a glass cylinder with his heart was found. It was reintered in the restored grave of the monarch in the southern chapel of the Rila Monastery's church, BTA reported.
