The Rojen should return from port Ashdod in Israel during the weekend

The Bulgarian ship Rojen is expected to leave the Israeli port of Ashdod today or tomorrow, Captain Alexander Kalchev, CEO of the Bulgarian Shipping Company Navibulgar said. The ship was supposed to stay there until it is unloaded.

According to Alexander Kalchev, there is no danger to the crew, as there is no fighting in the region of the port and the security level is normal.

This is the second time the Rojen has been close to a war zone, after it was blocked in port Chernomorks in Ukraine for five months at the beginning of Russia’s war against Ukraine.
