Firefighters pose for charity calendar

Firefighters from across the country have posed for a charity calendar, said Vladislav Nikolov, chairman of the I Believe and Help association. The attractive non-professional models pose with firefighting props.

The calendar costs 20 leva (10 euro). All profits will go to the charity, which is at the heart of the campaign to collect plastic bottle caps and pennies. The money raised will be used to buy medical equipment and supplies for the paediatric surgery department at St Anna Hospital in Varna, as well as a second neonatal ambulance for the specialist obstetrics and gynaecology hospital in the seaside city.

This year, the charity also provided a fully equipped mobile blood donation unit to the Regional Centre for Transfusion Haematology in Varna, recalls Vladislav Nikolov.

Those wishing to purchase the calendar can pay by bank transfer and will receive it by courier.
