Professor Kiril Topalov receives the annual state award "St. Paisius of Hilendar"

Esteemed writer, literary historian, translator and diplomat Professor Kiril Topalov is this year's winner of the annual state award ‘’St. Paisius of Hilendar", reported BTA. ‘'The award goes to one of Bulgaria’s brightest minds. With his intellect and modesty, he showed Bulgaria how an intellectual who stands by his principles and morals should look like", said Prime Minister Nikolay Denkov at the award ceremony.

Professor Kiril Topalov thanked for the honour, noting that this is the award that is dearest to him, because he has dedicated his life to the history and literature of the Bulgarian Revival.
