A coordinating body is to be set up by 30 November 22, 2023 that will specify, with the Ukrainian side, what farming products Bulgaria wants to import, and will decide for which of them this country will issue permits, explained Minister of Agriculture Kiril Vatev during a hearing at the parliamentary committee of agriculture. In his words, no grain is currently imported to Bulgaria from Ukraine, but there are substantial quantities of imports of sunflower from Romania and Croatia, and honey from Poland. A certain amount of powdered milk is imported from Ukraine, but much more from Germany.
