Bulgaria’s Minister of Justice Atanas Slavov affixed the state seal to the amendments and supplements to the Constitution, finally voted by Parliament at the third reading today with 165 votes in favor. The red wax relief seal is affixed upon the adoption of a new Constitution, amendments and supplements to the basic law, as well as in the event of a decision to hold elections for a Grand National Assembly, the press service of the Ministry of Justice said.

"This is the most ambitious amendment to the Constitution in the past 30 years, which will put Bulgaria at the centre of Europe because it will help us build a democratic European state under the rule of law with an independent court and an accountable prosecutor’s office", Minister Slavov said.
