The people who manage the Bulgarian organizations around the world, the people who take their children to Sunday schools and participate in our folklore ensembles are the individuals who give some of their time to Bulgaria. "My wish is that more people would have the inner need to do this," Raina Mandzhukova says. The head of the Executive Agency for Bulgarians Abroad has sent a Christmas wish to the audience of Radio Bulgaria on all continents:
"On the eve of the bright Christmas holidays and the year 2024, which we expect with the hope that it would be better, I would like to wish all Bulgarians in this country and around the world, first of all, health. Because only a healthy person whose beloved ones are also healthy, can be fruitful in all spheres of life. I would also like to call for strength, so that a person can be able to escape everyday worries and invest efforts in doing something good for others," Mandzhukova pointed out and added:
"I would like to say one more thing to our compatriots who would hear me - maybe some of them don't want to have a connection with Bulgaria, but Bulgaria needs everyone who is out there, regardless of whether they are members of an organization or not. The good name of a Bulgarian abroad is no less useful to Bulgaria than the activity of any organization.
In the past, when our grandparents wished us something, they usually said: “Health and peace”. It seems we had not appreciated these messages. 2020 showed us how valuable health is. Russia's war against Ukraine since 2022 has shown us how valuable peace is. I really want 2024 to bring peace to Ukraine and thus bring peace to all of Europe. Be healthy, happy and know that Bulgaria thinks of you with love!
