"Europe’s oldest city is magical and it isn’t located where you’d expect," The Times writes in an extensive article about Plovdiv. The artsiest Bulgarian city will surprise you with its combination of bold street art, Roman ruins and high temperatures, all the way to autumn, the article reads adding that “a Balkan take on la dolce vita” prevails in Plovdiv.

The article gives recommendations for a two-day stay in the city. They include a walk in the Old Town, lunch in Kapana neighborhood, a visit to the city's art galleries and museums and an evening with a performance of the Plovdiv Opera.

A few days ago, "The Sun" compared Plovdiv to Rome because of its beautiful antiquities.
