Bulgarian tourism industry speaks out against plans for offshore wind farms

The tourism industry in Varna is against the draft bill on the construction of wind farms in the sea, which was adopted in the first reading by the National Assembly. This is what the co-chairman of the Varna Chamber of Tourism, Stoyan Marinov, has told BTA. A poll among members of the chamber shows that none of them expressed a positive attitude towards the bill.

Earlier today, fishermen from the northern part of the Bulgarian Black Sea coast declared their readiness to protest against the draft law. The Bulgarian Chamber of Shipping also came out with a negative position.
