This year, Bulgaria’s National Liberation Day (March 3) will again be celebrated with the traditional train journey along the narrow-gauge railway. For this purpose, Bulgarian State Railways (BDZ) and the Civil Association "For the Narrow Gauge Railway" are preparing a festive program. The train will depart from Septemvri train station at 09:30 am and will arrive in Yakoruda at 13:10 pm.

The first stop will be at Tsepina train station, where travelers will be able to see the exhibition tracing the history of the railway in the House Museum of the Narrow-Gauge Railway. Before arriving in Yakoruda, the train will stop at Avramovo station - the highest station on the Balkan Pensinsula. There, passengers will be able to go for a walk and take photos of the beautiful Rhodope landscapes. After arriving in the picturesque town of Yakoruda, there will be a festive procession to the town center and an organized program on the town square and in the local community center. The narrow-gauge train will depart for Septemvri at 16:30 pm.
