Bulgarian MPs unanimously voted for the resignation of Prime Minister Nikolai Denkov with 216 votes "for". Yesterday evening, Denkov submitted the government's resignation to the National Assembly's office, a day before the end of the 9 months of his administration.
After the resignation vote, President Rumen Radev should hold consultations with all parliamentary parties and hand over a mandate to the largest political force in the 49th parliament - GERB-SDS. GERB put on the table a governance agreement between GERB-SDS and PP-DB until the end of the mandate of this National Assembly and a decision-making mechanism.
The PP-DB declared their readiness for negotiations. Before the vote this morning Nikolai Denkov also sent an invitation for talks. He specified that after the vote on the resignation of the government, the work of the cabinet will continue until a new one is elected.
