In the period July - December 2023, the parliament adopted 51 amendments to 43 laws. 79% or 34 of these 43 laws have been amended more than once. This is the highest percentage of amendments for the past 12 years, the civic initiative "Legal Barometer" announced today in Sofia.
The leader in terms of number of amendments is the Excise Duties and Tax Warehouses Act - with 7 amendments, Prof. Daniel Valchev said. The Insurance Code, the Judiciary Act, the Health Insurance Act, the Public Procurement Act, and the Corporate Income Tax Act have been amended and supplemented five times each.
