The digital revolution in the financial sector is a benchmark for changing the entire economy towards a green and sustainable future, the Deputy Governor of the Bulgarian National Bank Petar Chobanov said at the opening of the annual conference of the European Automated Clearing House Association in Sofia.

Every new technology is improved and proves to be effective through its rapid introduction and sustainable increase of users, Chobanov said. The rapid introduction of new technologies depends on creating trust and ensuring security for users, Chobanov pointed out, adding that this trust is formed through training on how to use new technologies and a detailed explanation of how they work for the benefit of people.

More than 160 delegates from 26 countries in Europe and representatives of leading companies in the payment industry are participating in the forum.
