Weather forecast for Bulgaria for Tuesday, 9 July

Yellow alert for extreme heat remains in effect nationwide

Wednesday will be hot and sunny. There will be clouds in the afternoon, but rain will only fall in parts of Eastern Bulgaria and in the mountains. Minimum temperatures will be between 17 and 21°C, 18°C in Sofia. Maximum temperatures will be between 34 and 39°C, 34°C in the capital.

The Black Sea coast will be sunny with moderate north-easterly winds. Air temperatures will reach 29-31°C. Water temperatures will be 25-26°C. The sea swell will be 2-3.

It will be sunny over the mountains with clouds and light rain in places over the western ranges in the afternoon. Maximum temperatures will reach 29°C at 1,200 m and 22°C at 2,000 m.

Thursday and Friday will remain hot. After midday, short showers are possible over eastern Bulgaria and the mountains.
