Weather forecast for Bulgaria for 20 July 2024

Rain expected over the weekend, temperatures will stay high

On Saturday sunshine is the forecast until noon. In the afternoon clouds will appear and by midnight it will rain briefly but intensely with thunder. There is a risk of hail in the northwest. 

Minimum temperatures will be between 18 and 24°C, in Ruse 27°C, in Sofia - 18°C. The maximum temperatures will be from 32 to 37°C, in the capital - 32°C.   

On the Bulgarian Black Sea coast it will be sunny, in the afternoon it will be cloudy but without precipitation. Air temperatures will be up to 30-33°C. The temperature of the sea water is at 28-29°C. 

Over the mountains It will be sunny in the morning, with thundershowers over the western ranges in the afternoon. The maximum temperature at 1,200 m altitude will be up to 28°C, at 2,000 m - up to 20°C. 

On Sunday, there will be sunny hours, but there will also be clouds. In many places it will rain with thunder, mainly in Central Bulgaria, and on Monday - in Southern Bulgaria. 

In the Balkans, it will be sunny everywhere by midday. After that it will become cloudy and rainy in the west. High temperatures are expected in the southern and eastern parts.
