More than 70 vintage cars from Bulgaria, Romania and Serbia were shown at the 8th edition of Vintage Vehicles Vidin 2024.

The parade, which is part of the cultural calendar of Vidin municipality, kicked off with a scenic tour starting from the town council’s parking lot to the region of Telegraph Kapia in the Danube park.

Hundreds of people were able to take a look and take a selfie with classical limos, convertibles, vans and motorcycles. The exhibits included American, European and Japanese cars, as well as vehicles from communist times.

Before the award ceremony, Tihomir Petkov took a symbolic run in the park bearing the Olympic flag. He is the only Bulgarian to have carried the Olympic torch as part of the torch bearers’ relay at the opening of the Olympics in Paris.
