Weather forecast for 12 September

Rain to gradually ease, but cooler temperatures to persist

Overnight, from west to east, the rain showers will stop and the clouds will break up and decrease.

Thursday will be sunny in western and central Bulgaria. Visibility will be temporarily reduced and in the morning hours there will be low clouds in the valleys, thicker in the northeastern areas, where light showers are possible. By midday the clouds will have dissipated for the rest of the day and sunny spells will set in. Winds will be light to moderate from the west-north-west, and from the south-east in the eastern areas. Maximum temperatures will be between 25° and 30°C, around 26°C in Sofia.

In the mountains it will be mostly sunny. Moderate to strong winds will blow from the west-northwest. The maximum temperature will be around 15°C at 1,200 metres and around 11°C at 2,000 metres.

On the Black Sea coast, there will be considerable cloudiness in the morning and light rain in places on the northern coast, but this will give way to sunny weather in the afternoon. Winds will be moderate south-easterly in the morning, becoming westerly in the afternoon. Maximum temperatures will be 25°-27°C. The water temperature will be 24°-25°. The sea swell will be around 2.
