The International Book-to-Film Festival Cinelibri begins

The tenth edition of the Cinelibri International Book-to-Film Festival opens today with a ceremony in Hall 1 of the National Palace of Culture in Sofia. 

This year's theme is "Endless Poetry". The forum will open with Paolo Sorrentino's new film "Parthenope", an exquisite treatise on the magic of cinematography. From October 10 to November 3, Sofia, Plovdiv, Varna, Burgas, Veliko Tarnovo, Gabrovo and Stara Zagora will be the venues for the latest masterpieces of cinematography and literature. There will also be meetings with special guests - Bulgarian and international artists from all areas of the film industry.

The international jury will be chaired by the actress Maria Bakalova. The world-famous Scottish author, screenwriter and playwright Irvine Welsh and the Bulgarian animator, director and graphic designer Theodore Ushev are among the special guests. 

On October 13, the 60th anniversary of the premiere of the film "Zorba the Greek" starring the unforgettable Anthony Quinn will be celebrated within the framework of "Cinelibri".
