Millions have watched the trailer of the new film Gundi – Legend of Love online

The official trailer of the film Gundi – Legend of Love caused a veritable sensation, turning into the biggest success in the history of Bulgarian cinema. The video has so far been watched by millions, showing there is an enormous amount of interest in one of Bulgaria’s most famous football players of all time – Georgi Asparuhov.

The film, showing the story of the football legend, but also the man behind the legend, will be in cinemas on 18 October. The film traces the life of Georgi Asparuhov, the legendary footballer from FC Levski, but also tells the story of his love and his values which make him such an important figure in Bulgarian memory. A huge crew worked on the production, with the screenplay alone taking 5 years. More than 3,000 costumes were made to recreate the spirit of the age.
