Weather forecast for Bulgaria for 16 October 2024

Slight drop in temperature expected on Wednesday

On Wednesday, the minimum temperatures in Bulgaria will be between 5°C and 10°C, in Sofia - around 8°C. Sunny weather will prevail during the day. More significant temporary increases in cloudiness will occur before noon over the northeastern part of the country. The wind throughout the country will be moderate from the north-northeast, in Northeastern Bulgaria - temporarily strong as it will bring cold air inside the country. 

The daytime temperatures in most places will decrease as highs will range from 15°C-16°C in North-Eastern Bulgaria to 21°C-23°C in the Upper Thracian Plain and the extreme southwestern regions. In Sofia, the maximum temperature on Wednesday will be around 19°C.

Along the Bulgarian Black Sea coast, cloudiness will be significant before noon over the Black Sea, but in the after noon it will begin to break up and decrease. A moderate northerly wind will blow. Maximum temperatures will be between 16°C and 18°C. The temperature of the sea water is 20°C-21°C. 

Sunny weather will prevail over the mountains. There will be more significant temporary increases in cloudiness over the eastern regions of Stara Planina. Moderate to strong north-northwesterly wind is expected. The maximum temperature at an altitude of 1,200 meters will be about 15°C, at 2,000 meters - about 8°C.

On Thursday and Friday, weak to moderate wind is expected.
