Irina Florin - ''Po Blizo''

Irina Florin, who appeared on the Bulgarian music stage in the early 1980s, became one of the icons of the Bulgarian pop genre in the 1990s. Her latest song, titled "Po-blizo" (Closer), once again tells a story about love. The song combines a modern sound with soft, melodic vocals.

Zheni Dzhambazova authored the music to the song. The arrangement is by Dimitar Karnolski and Magomed Aliyev (Maga). Dara Ekimova and Vanya Shtereva wrote the lyrics together with Irina herself.

''This song is about someone who understands you better than anyone else. In a world where we often find ourselves alone, the most valuable thing is to find the one who can give you a sense of home, meaning and strength", said Irina Florin.

"Closer is a song I started working on a year ago. Since I was traveling a lot, the lyrics took a bit longer to complete than I had expected. Otherwise, I go into the studio and sing very quickly, but the post-production process is very long, and it took us maybe 2-3 months. The message of this song is not just to be taken literally as ''Closer''. The idea was to feel the suggestion and the message more precisely—that we should be closer to ourselves''.
