Bulgaria is hosting the annual meeting of the ECTAA - European Travel Agents' and Tour Operators' Association - the largest event of the institution that unites Europe's tour operators.

"It is an honour for Bulgaria to host the ECTAA meeting and a sign of confidence that the European tourism community has in us. We will use this opportunity to highlight our rich cultural heritage and nature, but also to consolidate our position as an innovative and safe tourist destination," said Minister of Tourism Evtim Miloshev.

The two-day forum is being held in the context of Bulgaria's recognition as a "Preferred Destination for 2024". Following its conclusion, the guests will visit Plovdiv - Europe's oldest continuously inhabited city. They will explore the Old Town and the Episcopal Basilica, enjoy a concert at the Plovdiv Opera House and make a stop at the city's wine festival to celebrate International Mavrud Day.
