Weather forecast for 7 February

Winter sunshine, high seas along the southern coast

On Friday, minimum temperatures will be between minus 7 and minus 2°C, around minus 3°C in Sofia. Most of the country will be sunny with light to moderate winds. Maximum temperatures will be between 1 and 6°C, around 4°C in the capital.

In the mountains it will be mostly sunny. There will be significant clouds only in south-western Bulgaria and the eastern Balkans. There will be moderate north-easterly winds.  The maximum temperature will be minus 2°C at 1,200 m and around minus 8°C at 2,000 m.

Along the Black Sea coast there will be variable, more often considerable cloudiness. Rain and snow showers are expected mainly along the southern coast. Moderate winds will blow from the north. Maximum temperatures will be between 4 and 6°C. Sea temperatures will be 7-9°C. Sea swell will be 2-3, up to 4 in the south.

The weather will remain cold over the weekend, with lows between minus 7° and minus 2° and highs between 1° and 6°C. In western and central Bulgaria it will be mostly sunny on Saturday, while in eastern Bulgaria there will be considerable clouds with light precipitation, mainly snow.
