Acting Prosecutor General Borislav Sarafov submitted a proposal to the National Assembly to strip the immunity from four MPs from "Vazrazhdane" due to acts of vandalism during the protest in front of the European Commission building in Sofia. These are Ivaylo Chorbov, Nikola Dimitrov, Slavcho Krumov and Yordan Todorov.
Borislav Sarafov also asked the Central Election Commission to remove the immunity of mayoral candidate Pavel Ananiev.
According to the prosecution, the gathered evidence was sufficient to charge the four MPs and the mayoral candidate with committing indecent actions which grossly violate public order and show open disrespect for society- hooliganism characterized by exceptional audacity, and in Tchorbov's case, by exceptional cynicism.
In his requests to the National Assembly, the Acting Prosecutor General states that there are ground to ask the Sofia City Court to order Tchorbov's and Krumov's detention in custody.
