Clashes erupt downtown Sofia over Russian "Night Wolves"

Supporters and opponents of Russian nationalist motorcycle club "Night Wolves," members of which have been on Bulgarian territory since Wednesday, fought in front of the "St. Alexander Nevski" church in Sofia. Two people were detained by police, but it is unknown who started the brawl. The scandal broke out after it turned out that the two groups were in close proximity to each other without police presence between them. Yesterday, when the motorcyclists visited the city of Burgas, a clash between Ukrainians living in Bulgaria and representatives of militaristic “Vasil Levski” union emerged, in which five Bulgarian and Ukrainian citizens were injured and four were detained.
