The National Council of the Bulgarian Socialists Party has nominated the former commander of the Bulgarian Air Force Gen. Rumen Radev to run as the party’s contender in the presidential elections. Recently the general left the army based on the deplorable state of military aviation and on differences with Defense Minister Nikolay Nenchev.
