Sharp increase in number of Bulgarians travelling abroad registered in June

The number of Bulgarian citizens travelling abroad in June increased with 9.5% as compared to the same month in 2016 to 618.900 people, the National Statistical Institute informs. The number of Bulgarians travelling to Italy saw 30.2% increase and the number of people visiting Spain rose 19.4%. 15.3% increase was registered in the number of Bulgarian nationals travelling to Austria. In June 2017 a total of 1,448 million foreign nationals visited Bulgaria, which was 6.9% more as compared to June last year. 60% of all foreign nationals visiting Bulgaria were citizens of EU member states, NSI further informs.
