39th Bulgarian military contingent leaves for Afghanistan

"Certification you passed just a few days ago has shown that you are prepared for the tasks you will be assigned to do in Afghanistan. It is time for making a clear statement of your strong character and demonstrating your high fighting spirit, military discipline and professionalism, Lieutenant-General Dimitar iliev told the staff leaving for NATO’s Resolute Support mission in Afghanistan. The ceremony of sending the 39th contingent of the Bulgarian Army was held on the square in front of the administrative building of the Stara Zagora Municipality. On behalf of the Minister, the Deputy Chief of Defense presented the contingent with an icon of Saint George.
