The construction of the gas interconnector between Greece and Bulgaria will be completed by the end of 2020, Bulgaria’s Minister of Energy Temenuzhka Petkova specified at the Bulgarian National Assembly. The construction of this interconnector should end simultaneously with the construction of the Trans-Adriatic Pipeline. Thus, the contract between Bulgargaz and the Azerbaijani company SOCAR for the delivery of 1 billion cubic meters of gas from Shah Deniz gas field can be fulfilled, Minister Petkova added. We must complete the construction of the gas interconnector with Greece so at the end of 2020 we are able to receive these gas quantities from the Caspian region, Temenuzhka Petkova further said.
