The Anti-Corruption Commission in Bulgaria wants the court to confiscate property worth 350,000 euros from former Deputy Minister of Health Mikhail Zortev. He has been accused by the prosecutor's office of having violated his official duties as an official authorized to sign medical treatments.
It is claimed that he issued a permit benefiting a private entity at the territory of the public hospital in Vratsa. The commission calls for confiscating Zortev's apartment in a prestigious area in Sofia, as well as shares in companies and money from property sales. Another 8 claims have been filed with the court and inspections were opened against 10 more.
